The Pioneer Woman visits Salt Lake City

The Pioneer Woman aka Ree Drummond, came to Salt Lake City for her book tour.
The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels--A Love Story
Her latest book, The Pioneer Woman: Black Heels to Tractor Wheels--A Love Story, came out this month. It's her story of how she went from living in California with plans to be a big lawyer in Chicago to finding the man of her dreams, a cattle rancher, out in the middle of Oklahoma.

She had posted the first part of her book on her blog and I instantly fell in love with her story. Her book finishes what she started on her blog. It talks about her wedding and then the first year of her marriage.
It's a beautiful story and gives you faith in real life love stories.

Ok...so now for the story behind why I'm holding a can of Static Guard.
The dry climate in Utah, especially during the winter time, causes horrible static, especially with certain types of fabric. I've had this happen more than once while at work with certain skirts or dresses and have started carrying around a can of Static Guard with me everywhere.
Ree spoke to the group of women that had come to the book signing and mentioned that she wore the wrong type of clothing and was having static issues and jokingly asked if anybody had any
Static Guard.

Long story short...I had some and was able to get it to her so she could de-clingify. :)
I met her daughters, mother-in-law and sister-in-law in the process. Such cool, down-to-earth, kind people. Loved that they were here and that I had a chance to meet them.

Super Bowl Commercials worth watching

So...I don't have TV and didn't see the Super bowl.
Usually I watch it at a friends, but I just wasn't feeling it last night.
I think one of the best parts about the Super Bowl are the commercials. A friend of mine shared her 3 favorite with me and I thought they worth sharing. Enjoy!
