Quick trip to California

So I'm behind and have lots to catch up on. A few weeks ago I flew to California to see my brother Alan. He has been gone since May doing summer installs for security systems and he was finally getting ready to come home. He has never been to Disneyland and since all of his friends had already gone home in August, he was trying to find someone to go with. I jokingly suggested that if he flew me out there, I'd love to go with him. Well...he said yes. So the next day I was there. We had a fun filled weekend that included surfing and Disneyland. It was a fun trip. Here are a few random pictures. The Disneyland pictures are on Alan's camera, so I'll have to get those up later.

Jason came along too. This was his first time on a plane. Here we are at the airport, excited and ready to go.

While driving around Long Beach, we saw this sign, that was just too funny.

*More pictures of Disneyland will come as soon as I can get Alan to send them to me. *

Baby Rowe

So...the little guy has a name. Rowe Judson Jennings. He gets his middle name from his daddy, and the first name was inspired by the story of John Rowe Moyle, a stonecutter who worked on the Salt Lake Temple.

Here is Uncle Kyle and Rowe.

I'm an aunt!

My younger brother and his wife gave birth to a beautiful little boy today. Both mom and baby are both doing great. The little man weighed 8lb 14 oz, and 21 1/2 inches long. Still no name for the little guy, but the parents should have something very soon. Cool little guy though. Very chill.

Something Fun...

Friend sent this to me and I wanted to share. Kind of long, but worth watching.
Video Info:
Physical education teacher Lynn Kelley, who founded the Kings Firecrackers13 years ago, said the video of their performance at an Army vs. Navy game in February was posted to the team’s Web site in early April and has ignited national interest.

Mormon Tab Choir Email

So...rumors have been flying around Deseret Book HQ that I have a Bachelors Degree in Digital Media. :) It's funny...people will ask me about it and then ask, "Why are you working in the mailroom, then?" So I explain that it's always been my dream job and I can now die happy. ;)

Anyway...the Web Marketing guys heard about about my skills and asked if I could fill in on a project that was due the next day-the Mormon Tabernacle marketing email. They asked me yesterday and it was due today. Since I've not ever done a marketing email I was a bit nervous, but I really wanted to see if I could figure it out. I did. Took me about 2 hours and I pleased quite a few people. :) Kudos to me!

Eastern Europe

A friend randomly had an extra plane ticket to Eastern Europe this November. She had gotten an amazing deal and was looking for someone to go with her. It was under $1000, so long story short, I'm going in November.

As of now, the tentative itinerary is as follows:

-3 days in Budapest, Hungary and surrounding towns
-Possibly a day in Bratislava, Slovakia on the way to Vienna
-3 days in Vienna, Austria with a day trip out to Melk Abbey
-3 days in Prague, Czech Republic with a possible stop on Cesky Krumlov on the way to Prague
-Return to Budapest to come home

Since the trip is November 11th through the 22nd, I will spend my 29th birthday in Europe. Now doesn't that sound like an awesome way to celebrate! :)
