International Video Contest

Every now and then, something I am involved in becomes public. Today is one of those days.

For the first time, the LDS Church has announced an online International Video Contest. The theme of the contest is "Create Your Own Mormon Message." Sounds exciting, yes?
There are even cash awards offered to 15 talented winners.

So check it out!
If you're not the video-submitting kind of person, check back in the spring to see the finalist and to vote for your favorites!

Rowe - Almost 1 year old

Rowe will be a year old on the 24th of September.
Crazy, huh?

He has grown up so fast. He's very mobile and into everything.
His parents are dreading the day he starts walking. I give him another month and he will be a monster of mass destruction. :) (Well even more so...)

His mom's old college roommate, took these adorable pictures. Since I am borrowing these photos from her site, thought I would mention where you can see more of them.

Check her out. She's does great work.

August Photos

Kitty Litter Cake!

I saw this cake on my mission. One of the Elders made it for his companion at a Zone Conference and I have never laughed so hard. I thought it was the nastiest and most clever idea. So when my brother was trying to decide what kind of cake to have for his 21st birthday, this randomly came to mind. Of course I threw out the idea more as a joke than anything, but he loved it. So...we made Kitty Litter Cake and it was a huge hit!

Of course there were some "Ehh's and Gross!" to be heard when we pulled it out. But everybody had a "scoop" and loved it!

We had a blast assembling the thing too! You can find the recipe here. For ours we left out the green food coloring.

So Jason is home. Finally! Boy we missed him.

Does he not look like some sort of California surfer? :)

Where did August go?

I blinked and missed August! Seriously!

Oh man...it was a crazy month. I did take a few pictures, which I will post soon. I mainly worked and slept, and worked some more. Dang, I need another trip soon.

From what I can remember of August, my youngest brother came home from scout camp on Catalina Island. We met him at the airport. It's so nice to have him back. He adds so much to our family and he was greatly missed. The punk is like 6 inches taller, has a gorgeous tan, and looks very much like a California surfer. Going to have to beat the girls off of him...but then what else is new. ;)

We had a huge birthday party gathering to celebrate like 4 birthdays. My favorite part was the cake my brother decided to have. I totally talked him into having a Kitty Litter Cake. Pictures will soon follow and I will explain.... 'Twas Awesome!
